The premier of the KAABOO Festival in Del Mar, California was the ultimate weekend escape! KAABOO descended on sunny socal the weekend of September 18-20 in Del Mar California, transforming the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds into an oasis of entertainment. The inaugural festival featured performances of over 100 musical acts on seven stages with internationally renowned acts such as The Killers, No Doubt, The Zac Brown Band, Snoop Dogg, and more. 

KAABOO completely re-wrote the rules of music festivals by curating a more luxurious experience. Not only did this event cater to music lovers, it brought the arts, comedy, nightlife, and fine food together. The perfect combination for a guaranteed good time. 

Gallagher Staging was awarded this project and provided countless production elements. Some of which included; a 42’ tall main arch entry, a 30’ long x 18’ wide at 4’ deep pool complete with custom decking, an ADA lift and lexan handrail, a sunset VIP deck and roof structure, on-stage risers for seven stages, eight 30’ tall mural structures, WiFi towers, a VIP entry structure, and various site obelisks. In addition, Gallagher Staging accessorized multiple structures with digitally printed mesh, skirting, print panels, sunshades, and turf flooring. 

Let’s not forget about the G-Block line of products! From the big daddy of G-Blocks, to Minis, and Micros, the entire family of G-Blocks were used to support truss structures throughout the fairgrounds. 

In order to bring life to a few designs, the Gallagher team used their skills and creative edge to fabricate and engineer new staging elements that made their debut at KAABOO. The development timeline for the three day festival took over seven months, executing artist concepts and creating a few proprietary components that are only available at Gallagher Staging.
